Shipping Policy

JDM of San Diego ships engines and transmissions nationwide from our Chula Vista, California warehouse, and offers local pickup.

Shipping Costs

  • Engines and transmissions ship as palletized freight. Shipping cost depends on the unit and the destination and is calculated at checkout or quoted by our team before you order.
  • Shipping charges are paid by the customer and are non-refundable once an order has shipped.
  • Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and international destinations are quoted on request.

Local Pickup

Pick up your order free of charge at 3804 Main St, Ste 7, Chula Vista, CA 91911. Please call 619-271-5996 to arrange a pickup time and bring a vehicle or trailer that can carry the unit.

Processing and Transit

  • Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 1 to 3 business days after payment clears.
  • Freight transit within the continental United States is typically 3 to 7 business days, depending on the destination.
  • Tracking information is sent by email once the shipment leaves our warehouse.

Freight Delivery

  • Freight carriers deliver curbside. The driver does not bring the unit into a garage or shop.
  • Residential delivery and liftgate service may carry additional carrier fees. Shipping to a commercial address with a loading dock or forklift is the most economical option.
  • Someone must be present to sign for the delivery.

Inspect Before You Sign

Inspect the shipment before signing the delivery receipt. If the packaging or unit is damaged, note the damage on the delivery receipt, take photos, and contact us within 24 hours at info@jdmofsandiego.com. JDM of San Diego is not responsible for damage that occurs during shipment, and claims must be filed with the carrier, so documenting damage at delivery is essential.

Refused Shipments

Refused deliveries are treated as returned orders and are charged a 35% restocking fee plus all original and return freight charges.

Out-of-State Warranty Start

For out-of-state purchasers, the warranty period starts on the day you receive the unit rather than the purchase date. See our Warranty Policy.
